Just to make matters clear, the story is about Vitam, a guy who died and is confronted to Death in a weird purgatory that looks like a huge desert with floating Christmas decorations (I felt like drawing Christmas decorations; I imagine them slowly falling to the ground and disappearing into the near-white sand). Death makes him reflect on his life by taking the shapes of different people that mattered in his life and showing him that he was so scared of people finding about his transsexual status that he never actually did anything with his life. Some characters refer to him as a woman because they themselves died before he transitionned. The teacher told me the ending was harsh and that I should have given him a second chance. But you don't get a second chance at life for real, so there. :p

To begin with, I must say that I loved this short story because it makes you think, but I must admit I was kind of confuse on the story. But hey, even without the big clues, I could still take a lesson from it.

I'm not sure I could have understand the transsexual part by myself, I thought this was his girlfriend that died in a car accident a long time ago. ( because of the car that is spoken of and that he was hunt by the people he killed while driving a car back then while he survive). I must admit it is really different to look at after a second viewing and after knowing that he is a transgender.

I really like the lesson at the end. That when you encounter death, there are only '' what if'' and ''things unfinished'' that are left in the end, that you can't go back in time to correct them. It's kind of a lesson about learning the fragility of life and it's preciousness. :)

All in all, it is a great, even nearly mind-F**king story ( mainly because of the script which really add a sense of spacial distortion and dreamstate feeling)that is short and to the point. :) I always love your stuff for those dual kind of feelings you get from them!^^ ( even the life lessons... I miss those!^^)
