Well, anyway, I'm back from Japan. Have been for a month, really. I'll upload some pictures soon. Finally. We still have a ton of unsold plushies we made to finance it, so we're gonna be at Chibi G-Anime on July 13th to sell some more and I'll be taking commissions.

Two weeks before leaving for Japan, I graduated. I went from art student with an unrelated part-time job to diplomed creative unemployed in my own field. Ha ha ... ha. Seeing as school was my priority for those four years, I didn't really take time to make anything for this page. It's pretty much dead now, but I just pulled out a Phoenix Down so hopefully that'll change. In the following weeks, I hope to start drawing some comics that have been in my head for a while and maybe finally start on that series Westhaven that I mentioned like super freaking long ago. We'll see how that goes. I'm taking it slow.

Also, I have a twitter account with an overly complicated name. It's been in my deviantID section for quite some time but I realized that I never asked any of my friends on here if they have one.

The graduation-trip-to-Japan project is still going on and we have a table a G-Anime in Gatineau this weekend! I'll be taking live commissions, along with another girl, and we'll be selling a bunch of stuff we made to finance our trip. Clay figurines and key-chains! Comic collectives! Paintings! Super cute handmade cube animal plushies! Maybe possibly bookmarks, I'm not sure who printed what!

Since it's our last convention before the trip, we'll most probably be opening an Etsy shop to sell whatever's left over and maybe more.

Now to finish design homework that's due in two days!

Life has been crazy this session. I feel bad for this account, I really negleted it. Almost all my artwork is from school, but I'll try submitting some. I miss the feedback of this site. I probably have no watchers left. Maybe it's a good thing; I can start fresh!

Also, the commissions fell dead, I never took the time to figure out how to organise money transfer. Oh well. Now I'm working four days a week at 5 am and have two classes, plus a webcomic project I'm slowly working on, and I have to sew plushies and maybe make bookmarks to sell at G-Anime in late January, to raise money for the trip to Japan, and I have my short comic for Plan B #11 that's due in early January. Oh and I'm on the editorial team (well, duo), for Plan B, so I have to watch over everybody else too.

We released a full colour collective in one of my classes! It's called Amalgame (it's in French). The launch is Dec 11th 6pm-10pm at the bar Où...Quoi! in Hull. Only 100 copies! Get there early! And then get drunk with the artists! Woo!

I have like... 8,000 deviations to check. Fuck that, I'm deleting it all and starting fresh. Laaaazzzyyyyy...

If you're in the Ottawa/Gatineau region tomorrow July 7th, there is the one-day convention Chibi G-Anime going on at the Clarion Hotel in Gatineau. Admission is $10 at the door only. I'm gonna be there with the Japan trip group, Émi Japon 2013, and we'll be selling plushies, figurines, a comic collective and more! Come see use at table 13!

Plan B #10 is out!

Remember the comic collective my university releases every year? The 10th edition is out and I'm in it again! CAD $10 each. Wow, what a great price! Ask me if you want a copy; I can go to the university and get some pretty much anytime. The theme this year is "2012", so lots of stuff about the supposed apocalypse. Mine is a 7-page guide to survive the most popular apocalyptic scenarios!

Selling stuff at cons for a trip to Japan

Following with university stuff, I'm in a group of comic students who will all graduate in April 2013 and to celebrate, we decided to go to Japan! But we need money for that! So we're making a small comic collective, awesomely cute plushies, fimo clay figurines and a bunch of other stuff to sell at conventions in our area. The first con we're at is Chibi G-Anime on July 7th. Come see us and buy our stuff! I love making fimo clay figurines so there'll be lots from me!

Opening commissions

As some of you might know, I work as a typist for a company that types for the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY). But now, this summer, almost all the cases are going on break! Which means no money! Until September! D: But since it pays well above the minimum Quebec salary, I still want to keep the job and since I can be called in at any time if a case opens, it's a bit hard to get another job. So I'll be opening commissions shortly to see if I can make a bit of money for myself out of that. I'll publish a journal with more specific info in a week or so, but if you're interested, just slip me a comment now so I can know if it's worth it.

I got my licence!

I got my driver's licence! Okay, this might sound weird to write about that, but it's kind of big news for me because I hate driving. Why did I get it? To get my Mom off my back, really. -_-;; So at 21, I finally got my licence. Funny thing is, I passed on the first driving test. It really surprised my mother because I hate driving and also she says she doesn't hear much about people getting it on the first try. It also surprised me, but mainly because I still can't believe I got it when I don't even wanna drive. Oh well.
